#PhotoAweek – The Hemisfèric in Spain

The Hemisfèric is the largest hall in Spain to contain three systems projecting onto a concave screen of 900 square metres:

  • Large-format cinema, IMAX Dome.
  • Digital 3D screen measures: rectangle about 12×6 meters.
  • Digital projections. Astronomical representations and entertainment shows

It was inaugurated in 1998 and was the first building in the City of Arts and Sciences to open its doors to the public. The Hemisfèric is a spectacular construction designed by Santiago Calatrava, with an ovoid roof over 100 metres long that contains in its interior the large sphere that constitutes the projection room.

This is one attraction in Spain which is well worth a visit to.

Valencia is very cool and definitely worth a visit. It’s kind of sad that the city did not get much attention lately 😦

    • I am glad I came across some of the cool places to visit in Valencia. Definitely intrigued to visit now:) Have you visited?

Yep, I’ve been there twice for work and loved the city. I’ll definitely return as soon as possible. What I do like especially is la ciudad de las artes y las ciencias and the beach, which is absolutely amazing for a big city. Next time I’ll stop at the Hotel Las Arenas Balneario (located beachfront; it offers amazing views)!
