Over the past few weeks, media have been entertained in style and glamour with a taste of things to come at the Shades of India Festival taking place in Johannesburg. If all our experiences with TGS Events is anything to measure by, then I have to say that I am super excited to be attending the Shades of India Festival.
TGS Events is hosting the 3 day , The “Shades of India” Festival will take place from November 28-30, 2014 at Montecasino.
The aim of the “Shades of India” festival is to celebrate Indian culture, cuisine, fashion and entertainment. “Indian culture forms an integral part of South African history, so we take pride in bringing its traditions and global appeal to all South Africans, and creating an opportunity for the community to grow and develop a strong legacy,” says Shalandra Mallgee , the organiser at TGS Events.
The event creates a platform to stimulate trade and investment opportunities for local businesses to showcase their products and services. The festival caters for all aspects of Indian culture. From shopping, food, comedy, dances, live bands, local vocalists and a Fireworks display
The “50 Shades of East” Fashion show using South Africa’s local talented designers is also a highlight
The highly anticipated Shades of India Festival will feature four days of hilarity – with a comedy jam running from 27 – 30 November, 2014 at the outdoor Piazza, Montecasino. The shows will feature the likes of popular personalities “Peru and Bala – The Farewell Tour”, Sans Moonsamy, Joey Rasdien, Kaseran Pillay, Zakkiya Khan – and for good measure, the tallest Indian female comedian in South Africa, Karmen Naidoo.
